With summer just around the corner, there’s a good chance you’ll be out and about frequently. You may be stumped on how to kick off such an exciting season. Throughout Des Moines, there are many amazing artworks by this city’s creatives to be discovered. So, get out and enjoy the sunshine. Get friends and family together, grab refreshing drinks, and take a trip around Des Moines to see all the vibrant art that helps bring the city to life. 

1180 6th Ave, Des Moines, IA 50314 – The “Future” mural on the north side of the Evelyn K. Davis building celebrates the community.

1343 13th St, Des Moines, IA 50314 – A meaningful mural that reflects the community.
901 Cherry St, Des Moines, IA 50309 – This wall continues to get better and better as more people throw their art up.
800 Cherry St, Des Moines, IA 50309 – A recent addition to the area, and one of my personal favorites.
1524 E Grand Ave, Des Moines, IA 50316 – This piece showcases the community’s ability to bring people together from all walks of life.

1900 High St, Des Moines, IA 50309 – This last one is a fun one, if you make it to see this mural you may be able to meet some dogs!
