DMACC Celebrates Earth Week 2026

Two women are pictured selecting charms for their bamboo plants.

DMACC celebrated Earth Day in 2026 by holding events to do with sustainable practice stations and a plant give away. On April 22, students were able to participate in T-Shirt recycling with Iowa Jobs with American Graduates, litter clean up with the DMACC library, and planting their own bamboo to take home with Urban Student Activities Council. All of these photos showcase community building through shared interests in making the Earth a healthier place to live.

There are two hands coming from the left side of the photo grasping fabric. They are being braided together. There are scissors and a cup with a bamboo plant also pictured.
